Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett stated that he would like to donate more than 80 per cent of his wealth to charities. He increased the percentage to 99.9 percent by 2020. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was the principal beneficiary. It was created by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder, and his wife Melinda. They focused on health and education in the world. Bill and Buffett have been friends since the beginning of the 1990s. Other organizations that were able to receive donations were the ones run by Buffett's children, and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation named after his late wife. This foundation focused on reproductive health for women and was able to provide scholarships for college. In 2010 Buffett together with Gates created the Giving Pledge. This pledge invited other wealthy individuals to give the majority of their wealth to charitable causes.
