Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born in Dublin 1966 to a prosperous family. She was the third child in the family. She was educated in an abbey, and there she was able to develop a passion for arts. After a few years after that, she was able to return to the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin. But due to a lack of motivation she decided she needed to rest, and decided to give 10 months to recover. While in a restaurant with friends, she was approached by a still photographer who asked her if she would be interested to model. Since she believed she could earn some extra cash from it, she agreed. Modeling proved both fun and lucrative, and quickly she was modeling professionally. Modeling contracts lead to commercials and she travelled the globe. A casting director saw her work and suggested she try acting instead. She was sent to London when she was 19 where she quickly won an audition to appear in the brand new James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). Her love for acting was such that she considered pursuing a career the same direction. Her debut film was followed by two more of TV productions in London as well as Dublin. Her breakthrough was in 1989, when she was cast as the role of Aryan Seductress, Dr. Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Alison Alison Alison
