Molly was born in Pennsylvania and began to work professionally as a teenager at the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Her first production as a professional included The Snow Queen. Her nomination was for a Barrymore Award nominee for her role of Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. The role was reprised when Molly made her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway, in 2002. Molly was awarded a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly was in Broadway in the 2004 production of Fiddler on the Roof. She attended Princeton University as a Triangle Club Member and received an B.A. She then attended Princeton University where she was a member of the Triangle Club and earned a Bachelor's degree in the year 2008. In university, Molly was the first actress to make her debut on stage as a character in Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. After graduation Molly was in Off-Broadway productions of several productions, including End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater and in some productions on television, such as Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly has starred in several regional shows, such as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with the Barrington Stage Company and North Shore Music Theatre in 2008 and Westport Country Playhouse s 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank in which she played Anne. Molly's most notable role is that of Paranormal Activity 2 (2010), in which she portrays Ali the 17-year-old daughter. Also, she was a part of Last Man Standing (an ABC comedy written and directed by Tim Allen) and Jack Burditt's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which was held in 2008.
